| Rangers Meet With Barry Zito Let the courtship of the top pitcher on the free-agent market begin....MLB.com reports Barry Zito and super-agent Scott Boras met with Rangers officials this week. It was the first face-to-face visit Zito and Boras have had with any team this winter. It's assumed the biggest players for Zito will be the Dodgers and Mets. However, the Rangers could be the darkhorse, especially since hiring former Athletics coach Ron Washington.      |
