| Re: Phil Nevin I think so. With Rudy Jaramillo as a batting coach, not many players struggle for more than a season. That guy is a genius. Last season, I saw a couple things that I liked from Nevin (besides wanting his salary). 1) He has a long reach, which if harnessed, can prove valuable in going the opposite direction. 2) He can hit the double. The Rangers need more of that and less whiffs. |

| Re: Phil Nevin Through 3/23, Nevin is 9-for-35 with 4 home runs and 10 RBI, so he cooled off considerably from his quick start. He's only hitting .257 in 14 games, but he does have a pair of numbers. I know you can't tell a lot by spring numbers, but it doesn't seem like he's back to his old form just yet. Can he be effective for the Rangers once the real games start? |
