The Texas Rangers were eliminated from playoff contention with yesterday's 6-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners. "It's disappointing," Mark DeRosa told reporters after the game. "But you play for your own pride. Only eight teams go to the playoffs. You have to bear down and take pride in your work."

This team led the AL West at one point before it all fell apart. So what do they need to improve? Let me guess - pitching, pitching and more pitching, correct?

The only need to upgrade pitching if they keep Teixiera, Blalock and Lee during the off-season. Carlos Lee will be their top slugger of the future. As for pitching, there will be some great starters on the market this off-season. Just show they money and throw them the jersey!
