Former Texas Longhorns baseball star Brooks Kieschnick is set to enter the College Baseball Hall of Fame today. Kieschnick, who hit .360 with 43 homers and 215 RBI while also going 34-8 with a 3.05 ERA as a pitcher with the Longhorns from 1991-93, is a member of the inaugural class alongside such baseball greats Dave Winfield, Will Clark, Robin Ventura, Bob Horner, Cliff Gustafson, Rod Dedeaux, Skip Bertman, Ron Fraser and Bobby Winkles.

I like Kieschnick he played for a whiel here in Orlando while in the minors...got his autograph in a card show, and later saw him hit a monsterous homerun at Tinker Fields...the ball hit the Citrus Bowl stadium next to Tinker fields...the guy had power. Its a shame he never made it big in the pros.
