Texas vs. Kansas State

The Texas Longhorns (4-0) host the 2-2 Kansas State Wildcats this Saturday, Sept. 29.

Colt McCoy had been struggling somewhat this year, as had the Longhorns as a team, but they're still unbeaten and fresh off a 58-14 thrashing of the Rice Owls. So has the ship officially been righted? Will UT be able to hold off K-State?

Re: Texas vs. Kansas State

The Longhorns lose, 41-21, and fall from the ranks of the unbeaten.

According to the Associated Press, "Kansas State scored three touchdowns on special teams and an interception Saturday and the Wildcats stunned the No. 7 Longhorns 41-21, handing Texas coach Mack Brown his worst home defeat in 10 years." Ouch.

Re: Texas vs. Kansas State

the absolutely worst thing they could have done is exactly what they did: they completely smothered Rice in the warm-up for K-State. it got them so full of their own hot air it was easy for the Wildcats to poke huge holes in their overinflated egos and bring them crashing down.

maybe now both the coaches and the players can start focusing on playing ball rather than reading headlines.
