Re: Texas football & basketball recruits

Okay, so who is doing the better job recruiting - UT football or UT hoops?

According to this article, "incoming Texas freshman Kevin Durant is the No. 2 rated player" for next year's NBA Draft, which means that he should be something special for the Longhorns in 2006-07, right?

On the other hand, the Texas football team "has 19 commitments for next season, including six on the offensive line." One of them, Tray Allen, is listed as a 6-4 , 305 pounder from South Grand Prairie who is "considered one of the top offensive line prospects in the nation and a 'potential five-star kid,' according to Rivals.com."

Boy, did THAT comment ever turn out to be true or WHAT? Durant is a rare talent to say the least.
