Second Round Exit for Texas

Freshman forward Kevin Durant, likely cementing National Player of the Year honors, put up 30 points against the USC Trojans in the Longhorns’ second round game. Unfortunately for Texas, Durant’s 30 comprised nearly half of the Longhorns’ points as Texas fell to USC, 87-68.

"I have a sour taste in my mouth ending the season like this," said Durant. "I kind of regret not playing as hard as I could today and throughout the whole season. Like Coach (Rick) Barnes said, we did some good things this year, but it's tough to use like this."

Texas’ season is done at 25-10. The Trojans got their team’s first-ever 25-win season, now holding a record of 25-11, and will move on to East Rutherford, N.J. and the Sweet 16, where they will face No. 1 seed North Carolina.

It was a game of long runs for USC and bad breaks for Texas.

Well, I think this is the final nail in my bracket's coffin. I had Texas as a Final Four team and I must say I'm stunned that they couldn't get past USC.

Now the obvious question becomes, does Durant go pro? I'd bet he does.

Wow!...19 ponit swing?...darn it!...there goes my ability to sell the lot of Longhorns I got listed on e-Bay...that sucks...good thing I double back and added me some USC Trojans this weekend...its a wash in my little, tiny, insignificant business world.
