KU looks to reach milestone against Longhorns

LAWRENCE - Fifty and 1,900 are a pair of numbers that signify the tradition and success of Kansas basketball.

The third-ranked Jayhawks have "50" wrapped up, as in 50 conference championships. They achieved that milestone Wednesday night by gaining a share of the Big 12 Conference regular season title after Texas A&M's double-overtime loss at Texas.

And now this morning, in front of what expected to be the loudest crowd of the season, the Jayhawks go for an historic 1,900th all-time victory when they meet the Texas Longhorns at 11:05 in a nationally televised game in Allen Fieldhouse.

It doesn't get much bigger - or better - than this.
