Less than a week after hosting their first junior day for the 2008 class, the Texas Longhorns have 12 commitments.
That happened Friday when Mansfield Timberview dual-threat quarterback Antoine Hicks pledged at his high school to sign with the Longhorns.
Hicks, a 6-foot-2-inch, 193-pounder, is the second quarterback the Horns have grabbed from Mansfield in two years, including Mansfield Summit's John Chiles, who signed a few weeks back.
Hicks is being recruited as an athlete, which could put him in the defensive backfield or at wide receiver.
