AMES, Iowa -- Behind a game-high 23 points from senior guard Lyndsey Medders and a 21-for-27 free throw shooting performance, Iowa State upset the No. 22 Texas Longhorns, 67-56, in Big 12 women's basketball action Thursday night at Hilton Coliseum.
Medders, four-for-six from long range, was joined in double-figures by junior forward Toccara Ross (15 points) and freshman forward Alison Lacey (12).
The loss snapped the Longhorns' three-game winning streak. Texas is now 13-5 overall and 2-2 in the Big 12.
