Question about Red River Rivalry

Hello all,

I used to reside in the D/FW area, and know a bunch of Longhorn fans, and i actually like you guys a hell of a lot more than OU fans. Anyway, if the Shootout is going to be played this year at the New Cowboys stadium, what is going to happen when Bob St. Oops has his punter crack one off the scoreboard? What are the NCAA's rules on that, or have they made a ruling on it yet?

Thanks and Geaux Tigers!

They may just replay the down. It kinda sucks that the scoreboard could interrupt the flow of the game like that.

Knowing how well the NCAA plans ahead, I suspect we've already seen what will happen: the ball will hit the scoreboard, the officials will huddle, the down will be played over, everybody will talk about it AND nothing substantial will happen.

how can you tell when it goes up another psi? I mean, it's got more "dead air space" than the Goodyear blimp!

You got it.

If the ball comes in contact with any object that is not part of the regulation field of play without first,
a) going out-of-bounds
or
b) crosses the goal line
the ball is blown dead and the down replayed.

This includes:
Scoreboards, overhead cameras, suspension cables for cameras, structural supports etc....
