'06 Aggie Football predictions

Here is the Schedule:
Sep 2 Citadel
Sep 9 Louisana Lafayette
Sep 16 Army
Sep 23 Lousiana Tech
Sep 30 Texas Tech
Oct 7 @Kansas
Oct 14 Missouri
Oct 21 @ Oklahoma State
Oct 28 @Baylor
Nov 4 Oklahoma
Nov 11 Nebraska
Nov 24 @ Texas

My prediction for this year is a 7-5 season with losses to Tech, Baylor, OU, Nebraska and Texas. I would not be at all surprised if we struggle in one or more of the 4 cream puff games at the beginning of the season.

This is not what fans and alumni in Aggieland were looking for when we signed Francionne away from Alabama and made him one of the highest paid coaches in all of college football. We are definitely not getting our money's worth. I think this is his make or break season. Anything less than 8 wins will be a huge disappointment.

Ouch, opening 7-1 and then dropping the last 4 in a row? That's a recipe for a new coach. Scheduling can make a big difference. My TN Vols have usually owned the last 3-4 games of the season. I think we've got like a 85% winning percentage in November. But the downside is that our big games are early, which means we're often out of the title picture early in the season, whcih also sucks.

Re: '06 Aggie Football predictions

We have done it the last 3 or 4 years in a row. We normally have to play OU, Texas Tech, and Texas in the last month, as well as another school from the Big 12 North--Colorado last year. The schedule has not been kind. With all of the home games we have, it could turn out a little better than 7-5, but based on last years results, I am not feeling very warm and fuzzy going into this year.
