COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M closes out the regular season against No. 5 Kansas, and many Aggies fans are probably puzzled why their NCAA Tournament spot isn't sewn up yet.
They also may be wondering about coach Mark Turgeon, who faces his alma mater for the first time today at Reed Arena.
Nobody said that replacing Billy Gillispie would be easy. The Aggies (22-8, 8-7 Big 12) have been wildly inconsistent the last two months and everyone – fans and media – is looking at Turgeon for answers.
Despite A&M's up-and-down season, athletic director Bill Byrne still stands behind his hire.
