At least Martina's in the finals - makes it that much more interesting. Ivanovic beat out Safina - they said she must have been a bit upset over brother Marat's recent car accident. he has a sore neck, apparently. hardly earth shattering.

We milk alot of things up here in the great white north.
So Hingis lost. 6-2, 6-3 to Ana Ivanovic of Serbia, who now moves into 17th seed. I also heard Martina will move into the top 10 because of her playing here at the Rogers Cup.
Navratilova also capped her last appearance here with a doubles win. She and Nadia petrova defeated Cara Black and Anna-Lena Groenefeld 6-1, 6-2 to take the championship.
I'll believe she's retiring when i see it.
