I thought we had the men's torunament one year, the women the next up here for the Rogers Cup, but what it is, is women play in Montreal one summer, men in toronto, and then a switch the next summer.
So there are only 2 top seeded women left - there were 9 of the top 10 to start with. Then Mauresmo (shoulder) and Henin-Hardenne (knee) pulled out, as well as #12 ranked Venus (wrist). This week Pierce (groin), Schnyder (foot) and Zvonareva (wrist) all pulled out of the tennis tournament.
That leaves Clijsters and Sharapova still competing. Yuck. Where's the challenge in that? now much fun for the fan.
Just like with the men, watch for all these women to be in top form and playing competitively in the US Open, up next.

Sharapova is out now too.
She says she is tired. She played 9 matches in 13 days. she just lost in the semi finals at the JP Morgan Chase Open yesterday, to no. 3 seed Dementieva.

Gives you a chance to jump in and join them...most toureys that go 128 deep have a qualifying round...if they are not enough people in the qualifers to fill it, they take whomever wants to play, but their names in a hat and draw...I always wanted to be a wild card entry into a tourney...go for it blueandwhite girl.

I once had a wooden racket as well, and then an aluminum, and then a composite...needed that bigger racket head....but as far as new skirt...can't relate...but you go get'em girl.
