| Federer loses!
According to the Associated Press, "Roger Federer had won seven consecutive tournaments and was favored to break Guillermo Vilas' 30-year-old record of 46 straight victories... However, Guillermo Canas beat the world's top-ranked player 7-5, 6-2 Sunday in the second round of the Pacific Life Open, snapping Federer's 41-match winning streak."
Wow, so Federer's streak ends five short of the record. Yeouch!
