Martina Hingis' return to the winner's circle will have to wait at least another week.

Maria Sharapova of Russia powered past the Swiss star, 6-3, 6-3, on Friday to reach the final of the of the $2.1 women's draw at the dual-gender Pacific Life Open.
"I don't think the scores showed anything today, it was physically and mentally so challenging to play against her today," Sharapova said. "We were fighting for everything."
Sharapova improved to 15-3 in 2006 after slamming 29 winners to just eight for Hingis.
"The quality of the match was just great," Sharapova said. "It's good to see we can play these high-quality matches."
The second meeting this year between the two tennis starlets ended in a Sharapova victory...the Swiss Miss will have to finish her comeback another day.
