Cool Tennis: Roger Federer advances

Pacific Life Open:

No. 1 Roger Federer came back after a slow start to beat No. 32 Olivier Rochus 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 in their third-round match. Federer is the two-time defending champion.

So this Federer fellow, time to rank him with the all-time greats yet? He seems in a league of his own the past few years?...Does he have any tennis appeal? Will he be mentioned in the same breath as Conners, Borg, Sampras, etc?

Re: Tennis: Roger Federer advances

There is no one who comes close to him right now, and i think he will be one of the biggies in the history of tennis. he is finesse and speed and strength and cool. he needs to be around a bit longer I think to become the stuff of legends but unless he gets hit by a bus, it'll happen.
he reminds me of borg. Only better. The beckers and the connors have their place (we can't all be the same) but i like the quiet ones who just keep coming, like borg, like sampras, now federer. You can't help but like him.

Federer is like the Bulls of the 90s. It's hard to rank him with the greats because there isn't anyone who challenges him like the early 80s with Borg, Connors, McEnroe, Lendl, etc. Even Sampras had Agassi.
