According to the Associated Press, "Federer also improved his winning streak to a career-best 36 matches, has been ranked No. 1 for 156 consecutive weeks and has won six of the last seven Grand Slam titles -- his only loss was in the French Open final to Rafael Nadal last year." So when it's all said and done, is Roger Federer be the greatest male tennis player in the sport's history?

Nope...Nadal aside he has little competition...Borg had Johny Mac and Jimmy Conners etc...Chris had Martina...Federer needs a foe of epic proportion before he earns that all-time great title...

Federer is hamstrung by the fact that there are no good American players that can create interesting rivalries, so we may never be able to judge him correctly. He is so far superior to everyone else out there that it isn't funny.
