| Re: Fulmer Needs 11 Wins Hi tvolsfan, welcome to GoTeamsGo. Great to have another Volunteer here. I think you pegged what most of us are thinking. 7 wins isn't a good year for the Vols. It'll almost feel like 2 consecutive losing seasons. I think 9 wins would be a concensus expectation for a good recovery from 2005's mess. Was talking to a Vandy fan today. She was still giddy about the game last year. My point was that while I hate we lost, our season was already over. The win meant alot more to Vandy than the loss meant to TN. If we're ever gonna lose to Vandy, I'm glad it was in a horrible year like 2005.

| Re: Fulmer Needs 11 Wins I consider myself a realist with much optimism! A 9 win season isn’t going to upset me, but I’m expecting 10, maybe 11. OK, I’ll probably change it after Cal, but here’s my preseason, season prediction: W CAL 34 – 10 I had to stick to that score, I predicted earlier. W AF 24 – 6 W UF 24 – 21 hope, I have W MA 38 - 13 W ME 31-9 W UGA 28-24 we can do it! W AL 17-3 W USC 42-30 W LSU 13-10 this is realistic... W ARK 27-18 W VAN 48-6 W KY 45-14 I just can’t bring myself to predict a loss!

| Re: Fulmer Needs 11 Wins Thanks for the welcome!!! Lets get one thing straight, there is no team on the schedule where we can look at and say, count it a loss. The closest to that would likely be LSU. Good point about the 7 wins feeling like losing. I won't be truly happy until we are back where we left off before. A team other teams fear to play. The most painful game for me last year was Alabama. Our season was over by Vandy. No bowl helped us realize the damage of the season, and may have been better for us in the long run than whatever third tier bowl game we may have been invited to play in. The Bama game I can't help but feel we just threw away. We didn't catch many breaks last season. We only once went into the fourth quarter down by more than 7, and that was the game we won. |

| Re: Fulmer Needs 11 Wins I would be happy with a winning season no matter who the bowl game is aginst. How many years without a bowl game would it take to be happy that WE have a consistent winning team that we can be proud of. Some teams could only dream of hitting a bowl game for 3 or 4 years in a row. That is a good accomplishment. I as any Vol fan want a powerhouse team every year but that is not always the case. Take last year for example. I feel like alot of fans take it for granted the talent and wins UT accomplish every year. . We are all a family of fans for the same team here and I was just stating that we have a awsome program with a fan base that alot of teams would envy, but every year cant be a winner and I am sure most of you guys would have traded a bowl game aginst Kentucky than not make a bowl at all,

| Re: Fulmer Needs 11 Wins I agree that no team on the schedule is a garunteed loss but after last year it really opend my eyes that no team, even Vandy is a garunteed win. Or Memphis from several years ago. |

| Re: Fulmer Needs 11 Wins Yeah, I’m excited about the season starting but worried at the same time. I know we’re looking at 4, maybe even 5 possible (Some may say probable) losses this season but I see no date on our schedule as a sure loss. |

You have to pay $100 per letter. Or you could strike a deal with the GTG staff. |

I'd never cheer against Tennessee, but after the loss, it seemed like it was for the best. It probably sealed Randy Sanders' fate, and honestly, it was time for new blood. It just wasn't working. Having an off year is one thing. Seeing your quarterback regress, talent squandered, and a complete lack of discipline is another. We'll see, but Cutcliffe seems to have returned some discipline and some fire into the offense. I hate speaking too soon after one game, but you have to like what you saw tonight. |
