UT Vols redshirt freshman DB Marsalous Johnson apparently pointed a toy gun or a pellet gun at an off duty sheriff;s deputy in Putnam County, around Cookeville, TN. He was charged with aggravated assault for the Sunday night incident.

UT linebacker Rico McCoy was in the car with Johnson but wasn’t charged.

That's 2 this week that have been arrested.

Anybody want to set the underover on additional arrests before the season opener? I'm hoping zero but I'm betting 2 more run-ins like these for the Vols.

In the wake of a 2 arrest week, it's nice to be reminded that there's some good stuff going on with the Vols.

J.T. Mapu just got back from a 2-year stint on a religious mission. I'm excited to see him back. We sure could have used him last year but maybe it'll work out for the best. A big DL that's had 2 extra years to grow and mature is gonna be fun to watch.

It is good to hear that Mapu is coming back. I always like to hear something positive every once in a while.

I hate to say it but I am sure that there will be at LEAST one more arrest and multiple incidents before the season opener. As I posted in another thread-I just don't know why these guys can't get their act together and I don't remember this being such a problem 4 years ago.

All I know is that I hope we are not bitten by the injury bug again this year.
