Fulmer didn't waste any time kicking freshman Lee Smith off the team. He failed 4 field sobriety tests after the cops saw him driving on the sidewalk near UT campus.

Was this guy a top recruit? I'm not remembering him immediately.

I am not sure if this guy was a top recuit or not but I sure would like to know.

Does anybody know what in the world is going on with the UT football players????? It seems like over the last 3 years or so that so many UT football players are getting into trouble and I don't remember this being such a problem in the past.

I know that coach Fulmer is trying to crack down on this behavior but it doesn't seem to be doing any good. I wish he would think up something that would gets his team to stop breaking the law!

I think since the Alabama ordeal that they are going more public with everything so it can't come back on them. I know that Ole Miss had problems with Eli and nothing ever came out about it. So I think Tennessee is just cya.

But you still take into account who the kid is, his past record (on & off the field), and how valuable he is to the team.

Coach Fulmer said that he's not gonna completely rule out the chance of Lee Smith ever returning to the team. That's becasue Lee's dad, Daryle Smith, played under Fulmer as an offensive lineman.

But it sounds like it's a long shot that he'll play at UT.
