This one is turning ugly early. Looks like a H.S. team against an NFL team. Why did I pick the Vols?

Now can somebody please tell me why anyone would want Phillip Fulmer as a head coach?

I think it's time for Fulmer to step down. I thought about this last season.

I wish I could say that I am surprised by the Vols performance the first half of the game. I have never seen a team that likes to give away ball games the way Phil & his staff do. The commentators were talking about the "air of negativity" you could feel before the game.

It is past time to bring in a new head coach. Sometimes the game just runs off & leaves you, much like it did w/ Johnny Majors. They look terribly undisciplined & flat, like they did against UCLA. We have UGA, Bama, UK, & even Vandy to play yet...... each have great teams. The tone of each team is set by the coaching staff. We saw a few years ago where Randy Sanders was made the fall guy for a dissmal start. He left & went to UK & has contributed GREATLY to their successes!

I will always be a vol fan but I have become aloof to the Fulmer era. I can't wait until basketball season now!

Well, I have been disgusted w/ Fulmer for about 4 years now. I was concerned when he had the head phones on during the offensive processions. I think he is pretty much clueless as a head coach. He is the main reason why many national sports authorities do not respect the volunteers as a whole. Coaching can make you or break you. If I had to choose between Nick Saban or Phil this would not be a hard decsion at all. I am tired of sucking hind tit to the Gators, Bama, etc.

Phil has done just enough to keep his job. He made a big contribution 3 years ago to the university to secure his job after letting Randy Sanders be his fall guy.

I was shocked to see that Vols fans have "compuders" and know how use them too. Please stop all the hate towards coach Phil, he is the 2nd best coach in the SEC and deserves a 10 years contract extension. Personally, I feel like you guys should write off the SEC all together...I think its time for the Big 12 to be in the media. I am tired about hearing how strong everyone is in the SEC...

We have 7 losses in our entire conference compared to the whopping 11 you guys have. Yes I understand that you guys have played more conference games, but youre blowing each other out. I mean LSU could barely handle Auburn and dont even get me started on Alabama. Lets see how Texas does against Ark. this weekend after they "fix things" I guarentee you that they whoop up on them so bad you guys wont want to be associated with Ark.

Anyways, thats my rant. I know you guys had 5 teams in the top 10 which is a first in history or whatever...but I think your teams are a little overrated...not a lot, but a little. I mean Tenn got creamed by UCLA which got shut out by BYU...

I think you should stick to soccer and not college football. The SEC is the best, they have the National Championships to prove it. The Longhorns are always overrated along with most of the Big 12 teams. Florida Atlantic, UTEP, Rice.... need I say more. Arkansas is going to beat the Longhorns 28-13!

Alright fair enough, we will see who is right by the end of next weekend. UT is not overrated...they arent even talked about. Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Alabama are always in the media...personally I think they are biased...

Vandy had a major problem with Rice...It wasnt until the second half that they woke up...they were tied at half time remember? Texas just got done with them 52-10 I believe. Oh ya, I almost forgot...they played at Vandy the day after Hurricane Ike hit Houston and 7 players' became homeless, their minds were in other places...but youre right...the SEC is not overrated. Dont even get me started on Strength of schedule. The only team in the SEC really to play anyone is Alabama and it was Clemson who is most definately overrated. They will probably win the ACC...but its the ACC. The only thing they are good for is basketball...and maybe Lacrosse.

Only in the SEC will you find teams beating each other 3-2.

Definetly think big 12 is underrated id say 2nd best but media thinks they are 5th. sec is still the best though
