Intellect and Tennesee come on you have got to be kidding... The football program is headed down hill and just picked up some steam. Phillip Fulmer conned the University into giving him an extension. The only coach you had you let slip away to DUKE who has a better record than you. I'm still scratching my head on that move. So intellect is apparently absent from Tennesee.

That is a great point. DC made the difference in the program for sure. I knew when Fulmer had the headphones on during the offensive series we were in trouble. The Great Pumpkin gave a million bucks of his own money to the athletic program after the dismal 5-6 record a few years ago. This pretty much secured his job for the time being. The game has run off and left him.

JRL, I am not running. I have been in protest for 5 years w/ regards to Dough Boy. I will always be a vol at heart but I just don't know what it is going to take for a change to occur in Knoxville.

I think what we are seeing is the beginning of the end for Phil. Tenn could end up last or tied for last in the SEC East.

Where am I condescending? I have wanted a new coaching staff for sometime. I know the Bammers are happy w/ Foolmer. Every program goes thru these dry times until enough people get tired of mediocrity. I seem to recall a very long span where UT owned Bama & the Dawgs but could not beat the Gators.

Don't be a jerk. I came here to get some respectful input from other disgruntled Volunteer fans. I am proud that an SEC school like Bama, Fla, & UGA might just win the SEC crown & get a shot at USC for a national title. If so, I will be pulling for them.

JRL, UT is one of the worse teams in the SEC. At this time they are not as good as Vandy or UK. I see them at 2-4 after the next 3 games. They will probably have a hard time w/ N Illinois. Thanks for the input.

Thats the quote I was talking about and I agree...Tennessee is not its best this year and I dont understand why they have not made changes...this is the year for the SEC to do well and the Vols wont be on that bus...

UT has the talent but no discipline or heart. The tone is set by the coaching staff. Fulmer always gets rid of people whenever his job feels threatened. I think this is why Cutcliffe left. Certainly allowing Trooper Taylor to go was stupid....and who could dismiss Randy Sanders being Phil's fall guy a few years ago. It is far too painful to be a UT football fan .

I have to say this. UT's past successes have to be credited to David Cutcliffe. What he has done at Duke this season is nothing short of amazing! David Cutcliffe, coach of the year in my opinion.....!
