ok here is a poll to see who think fulmer should stay or get fired and WHY?

instead of me arguing why he shouldnt be fired just cus of a 3 point lose in ot in week 1 i want to know exactly why he should be fired and who could do a better job?

Its not just the one loss. Its the whole coaching job. Take every year (and this will be no exception) we have to have tackling practice. What other program does this? Fulmer is a Great Guy he just doesn't have the passion anymore. Maybe he has turned over to much to his asst. coaches. Chief has got to go period. We need to go to a new dc. If anything works he quits doing it. As for a replacement I really don't know but I would like a young energetic coach who can inspire his players to play above their capabilities.

well when im saying it's just week one im not saying it's the only game fulmer has ever coached in im trying to say that the players are playing there first game in a long time some players played for the first time in there college career and crompton started for the first time as well so for alot of players the close game was a great leaning experience for them and that will help them throgh out the season because they now know that it's competetive out there and they know they have to work very hard to be considered a great football team

This wasn't Cromptons first start he got us KILLED at Ark. 2 years ago. He couldn't hit a pass in that game also. I really hope he turns it around but we go through this every year. Why can't the players be ready to play on the first game? I truly believe that the coaches lost this one for us. Anyway we can gripe all we want but things will not change until we get the "money" people to want a change.

Unless Tenn has the inside track for someone better I think they will sit tight for the rest of the year.

I agree with the coaches hot seat website - Nov 22 will be the litmus test. If he is 5 & 5 (very possible with Fla, Auburn, UGA & Ala on the schedule) he will absolutely have to beat Vandy to keep his job - 3+ million buyout or not.

But he still hasn't improved. I really hope he does. The long pass he threw that was dropped was a pretty pass. The last drive he roped the ball. The rest of the game he was horrible. The best we could hope for is Chavis doesn't show up. If our defense is unleashed our offense can take care of itself with the running game.

no qb just jumps into his 1st season and throws 300+ yards all the time

Wow some of you Tenn fans are hard nosed Fulmer has a .760 + winning percentage and you want to throw him under the bus.

All the bashing just makes it harder to recruit - kids read.

You may not throw 300+ yards but you should complete 10 yard passes.And to JRL look at Fulmers win % against FL,& GA. it isn't good. If we cannot beat these teams some then we cannot win the SEC. Not to mention the East.

only time will tell with th crompton and we beat no wait killed georgia last year and flo has always had our number we cant bring that up now for an excuse to fire somebody and tennessee did when the sec east last year so it's not like the vols had a bad season last year

They had a keep Fulmer from getting fired year. I wasn't happy with 3 blow out loses. I don't think we can stay within 25 points of Fla. I just think Chavis has to go and Fulmer should be with him.

well lets not forget until the 4th quarter against miami they were not looking very good at all so to me fla is very over rated and this is the vols chance to steal a win from a very over rated team while they are still ranked high enough to get the vols ranked again
