| Vols' Crompton takes leading role tonight The spotlight pans to the Tennessee quarterback tonight when he takes the field against UCLA at the Rose Bowl. Millions on ESPN will be watching Crompton's every move during his first game as UT's full-time starter. And it will be the last time he will have a chance to make a first impression. Growing pains That's exactly the type of personality UT fans have come to love. Crompton is taking over for Erik Ainge, who spent the past four season as the primary starter. Ainge was more of a finesse, pocket passer, while Crompton is a more rugged talent who can hurt teams with his legs as well as his arm. Story
