Volunteers?

Has Fulmer bit off more than he can chew this season? It looks like the Volunteers will be sporting a couple of losses before they face Alabama on Oct 25th. I hope that the Volunteers smear UCLA and we will hold our breath for you against Auburn and Georgia. Realistically if your team rolls into OCt 25th undefeated I will be astonished. I just don't know if the Volunteers have anything left in the gas tank for this season. My guess is it won't be long before the rumblings and grumblings start over firing Fat Phil again.

Re: Volunteers?

Okay bears lets you and Simon look at the forum I know you guys are BAMA haters but we are on the Volunteers side of the fence. So unless you guys are turning Tennesee orange let's wait to yap about the Alabama game. Right now the question is posed to Tennesee fans about thier situation and why do they feel good going into the upcoming season?

Re: Volunteers?

Yeah Stoney this will be a classic game for sure - two teams with 5 -3 or 4 - 4 records. A real battle of the Titans with the Vols winning a close one by 20.

Re: Volunteers?

Then let the smack talk begin.....

Alabama is getting ready to serve notice on Saturday night. Clemson is going to have the Orange beat off them. Tennesee will get thier chance to Volunteer for a beating on the third Saturday in October. Now before you guys go answering this post you ought to wait and see what happens to Clemson.

Re: Volunteers?

Stoney. I will not wait to tell you to beat the Orange off of Clemson. I'll alway root for the SEC. But that is the only Orange you will beat this year.

I fully understand the whole "my team is the greatest" mentality. That's totally cool....until it makes you look like an idiot. I fully backup my team, and always will....however i wont go parading around that we will be #1 by middle of October. Because for that to happen, many teams must lose. And quite frankly Georgia and Florida must lose PLUS getting rid of USC and other conf teams that dont play as hard as SEC will make it more difficult.

Dont go tootin your own horn here.....we will be good, and i'm very excited about this season. but be realistic here...#1? probably wont happen til SEC title time IF it happens at all....Fulmer is on his last leg at UT and isnt turning out players like he used to.
