Hell no! I got stock in that company and he would eat up all the profits. Besides you did see him looting after Katrina right?

You must have a very large hard drive on your computer to store all that UT rhetoric. <wink>

Re: 2008 Tennessee Football Schedule

Eroding support for Fulmer?: Still looking for his first SEC win of the season, embattled Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer said confidently Thursday night while taking a break from making recruiting calls, "We're not close to being dead yet." Somebody might want to tell that to his athletic director, Mike Hamilton, who during an extensive interview with the Knoxville News-Sentinel this week discussed hypothetically how a change might be made before the season was over and even confirmed that some boosters had already discussed Fulmer's replacement with him. Hamilton later denied that he was trying to publicly lay the groundwork to fire Fulmer, although the timing of his comments was certainly odd. The bottom line: Fulmer and the Vols (2-4, 0-3 SEC) desperately need a win Saturday at home against Mississippi State.

Hamilton may be denying that he is looking other options to replace Fulmer but if his job is on the line, he might change his mind. Personally, I think he is just being politically correct & not showing his hand now.

Phil has his supporters, Im one of them. But the last 2 years we have started off horribly, and the mistakes and the bad overall team performance has made me take a long hard look at Phil. I think Hamilton was just starting to soften all the Fullmer folks and get them ready, if Bama kicks the crap out of us, I think Hamilton will have to do something, he is getting pressure.

RabidVolfan, Phil is a nice guy & so was Johnny. We have needed new leadership for 5 years now. I look at how other programs have handled coaching situations like ours at UT. Most programs would have gotten rid of Phil years ago for much less output. I am not satisified w/ simply doing 'well'. The SEC has changed as it did under Johnny.

I am pulling for Bama so we can get rid of Phil. Mark my word it will be a tight game.

Phil still thinks there could be a turn around for this season, so he will be as ready and have the team as ready as he possibly can. I like Phil to, but you are right something needs to change. "Doing well" isnt enough for me either, I want teams to fear the Vols again, and if it takes a coaching change to get it done, then I say do it but do it right. If we have to pay top dollar for a great coach, then pay him and lets get on with it. When I looked at the pay scales for the top coaches, saw what we were paying and then look at what we are getting back for the money,,,,,something has to give.

Re: 2008 Tennessee Football Schedule

Phillip Fulmer has coached past his prime...at least Bear Bryant recogonized the game had passed him by and retired.
