This guy has lasted through some tough times. I'll admit that this is the most upset I have ever seen folks at him.(Tenn. fans) Right now all the wrong teams have had their way with us, Phil has got to be raising hell at practice. And for us to get beat in Fla. fashion against Ga, or Bama will only increase the call for his head. But you cant say he is going to leave, cause of all the other times he made it through. Would UT pay 6 mill. to get rid of him? I dont have a clue.

Because a new coach could generate more than the 6 million in revenues. Saban increased Alabama by 18+ million in one year. Surely John Gruden or Bill Cowher could and would do the same at Tennesee.

The very mention of Bill Cowher at Tenn. makes me froth at the mouth. I have allways been a big fan of him and his coaching style. IF there was a coaching change at Tenn, a Cowher like coach would be great. I still look for Phil to survive this, but if he doesnt, boy what someone like Cowher could do for our team.

I can gaurantee you this. Bama would have never put up w/ the likes of Phil! They would have gotten rid of him 4 years ago & I have to respect them for the way they have feverishly sought the right fit. Look how long it took Bama to finally get Saban. Phil is the most overpaid underachiever in the SEC.

Frankly, I think Hamilton needs to go if he won't act. He & Phil are big time croanies. I can only hope that UT does lose out & Vandy beats them by 4 TD's so that Phil gets fired. I am willing to sacrifice a season to get my Vols back on track w/ the right HC.

Jon Gruden would be a great fit for the UT slot. His name was passed around a few years ago after the 5-6 season.
