Fire UT Head Coach?

Bill Battle was fired after a 6-5 season.

Johnny Majors was fired while trying to recover from heart surgery after a 9-3 season. (Majors was 5-3 and Fulmer was 3-0 as interim head coach and was 1-0 as head coach.

Phil Fulmer is 4-6. Does he get a lifetime pass because he is the only coach to win a National Championship at Tennessee other than the legendary General Neyland?

Fire Phil

It's high time for a changing of the guard. Sanders stepped down as he should have, and now Fulmer needs to step aside. He said "you can't rebuild until you hit rock bottom, and we've hit rock bottom." Yes you have, and it's time to rebuild with a new head coach.

Fulmer's record is overrated and exaggerated. He has not produced the results that are possible with the talent at Tennessee. Under a coach like Spurrier, Tennessee would have more than one national title, and several SEC championships.

Ya gotta go Phil. When you lose to Vanderbilt (go Commodores!) it's time to hit the road.

well, lets just wait and see what happens and who they hire for the off. coor. if they can get somebody in there that can get the offense going, and chavis on the defense, then all phil has to do is recruit. thats what he is good at anyway. he in one of the best recruiters in the country. give him next year and see what happens. dont crucify him yet. just hope they dont hire cutcliffe again. they need some new blood in k-town

Fire Fulmer??? That's a bit premature, don't you think.

Up to this year he was THE WINNINGEST ACTIVE COACH IN FOOTBALL!

We have had great records every year. It leads me to believe that there is something going on down there that we don't know about. There has been no steady decline...just BAM 4-6.

Phil is cleaning house and hopefully he will make some good hires. I think he can't have another year like this - but he doesn't have to go undefeated either.
