Time for a Regime Change

Let me start by saying I have a lot of respect for Coach Fulmer and what he has done for the UT football program. But you can't dispute the facts...
  1. UT is 46-24 since 2002 (65%)
  2. UT is 18-13 since 2005 (58%)
  3. UT is 2-7 in our last 9 Bowl games with losses to Kansas St., Maryland and Clemson.
Is anyone here happy winning 58% of the time?

Does anyone here believe Bama had more talented players this past Saturday?

Does anyone here enjoy getting whipped by 40+ points... THREE DIFFERENT TIMES in one season?

We all know winning breeds success and that has never been more true than in Tennessee. It's no secret that the state of Tennessee doesn't produce a lot of top rated HS Football Players so we have to recruit heavily in other states. So what happens if this trend continues? Spurrier will/has locked down SC as has Saban and Miles with Alabama and Louisiana. Meyers has Florida wrapped up and now Kentucky has turned to corner. If UT doesn't win 10 games every year recruiting gets very difficult... why would a high profile HS player choose UT over LSU, FLorida, SC or even Alabama. The future has never looked so bleak for the UT Football program.

Thanks for a great run Coach, but it is time to move in a different direction.

Re: Time for a Regime Change

As a TIDE fan, I can feel for ya. The worst thing that can happen for Tenn Fans now is Fulmer gets 1 more big win this year, keeping his job for 2 or 3 years more. As you stated, Tenn had the better talent this past weekend, but I think the 4mil Coach we hired made the big difference for us. Tenn has to get a quality coach, but also one that can recruit the "out of state" guys. I think the guy down at South Florida would be perfect, got some reconition now and should be able to tap into the Florida talent.

Good Luck Guys
