He recognizes it as a traditional big-time college football rivalry, the way a Tennessee fan might view Ohio State-Michigan or Oklahoma-Texas. It's significant, but it's not personal.
"You have to live it," the first-year Alabama coach said Monday at his weekly media conference.

bama vs. tenn is a good rivalry but in my opinion it's the tenn vs.florida rilvary thats the best.

I may be living in my own little world, but I love the Vols no matter what their record.VOLS RULE!!!!! Look I'm not going to tell you not to root for your team. But let's be honest about something if you lose you win because you get rid of Fulmer right? So even though you loathe Alabama you want them to win because a short term pain gives a long term gain. I know how you dislike Spurrier but he would bring respect back to Knoxville.

You are probably right, but I just cant bring myself to pull for Bama against Tenn. Having my fingernails pulled out with vise grips sounds better. But, on the coaching change, rummors are flying. I like Phil, but if its time for him to go I just want them to get it right. Hamilton and Co. are buttering folks up I think, getting them ready for the change. That would be the worst possible thing to ever happen at Tennessee. Then Hamilton will give Fulmer another pay raise and extension for life contract. Then what will you do?

Maybe Phil is just going to give us a parting gift by beating Bama. I am starting to think he is gone no matter what happens Sat. So, if he is leaving, can you think of anything he would rather do on the way out? Beating Bama and maybe causing you all to miss the BCS champ. game by losing to lowly Tenn. Wouldnt that be a hoot?

This should be a good game. With what Hamilton said last week, I dont think it matters if we win or lose, Ive never heard him make such a direct quote towards Phil's future at Tenn. Have you ever heard him say anything close to what he said last week? But, if they are going to let him go it would be better to do it now and let the new guy get his recruiting going before the off season. If its got to happen, sooner is better than later.
