| Tebow tests foes with his arm now KNOXVILLE — The whole rock star image of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow doesn't seem to fit. The sophomore comes from a religious family, he has the boyish looks of someone from a 1960s sitcom, and he was home schooled. ![]() But it's the other side of Tebow — the football side — that has Florida followers mimicking Elvis fans. "Gator fans are awesome and Gator Nation is everywhere," the understated Tebow said. "They want to talk to you and get your autograph. It's not too bad. There are a lot of different moments, but nothing too crazy." Crazy. That's what Tebow is driving Tennessee this week as the two teams gear up for the Southeastern Conference's earliest flashpoint game of the year on Saturday. The Florida native is a dual-threat quarterback, equally adept at beating you with his feet as he is with his arm. Last year he was a one-play wonder, entering games for spot duty in short-yardage situations. More times than not, he was successful and Florida fans cheered as he raced to the sideline pumping his arms in celebration.
