Vols hope they can keep pressure on quarterback

KNOXVILLE — Before Tennessee Coach Phillip Fulmer fielded questions from the media following Saturday's game, he gave an opening statement and hit on the highlights.

One of the first things he said...

"Getting some pressure on the quarterback paid off for us,'' Fulmer said.
With a massively important road game against the defending national champion Florida Gators this week, Tennessee is hoping for more of the same.

One week after failing to record a sack at Cal, the Vols' defense took it up a notch against Southern Miss during a 39-19 victory at Neyland Stadium Saturday. The Vols recorded 2.5 sacks, had seven quarterback hurries and five pass breakups.
