| Vols respond well despite big loss KNOXVILLE — Fixing what went wrong at Cal last weekend was the main concern for the Tennessee football team this week. But the coaches had another, much less public item on the agenda: studying their players' reactions during practices. Coach Phillip Fulmer made it a point to examine their movements this week to see how they would bounce back from the Vols' 45-31 loss. And after four practices, he liked what he saw "They have responded," said Fulmer, whose Vols host Southern Miss at Neyland Stadium on Saturday. "Fans hurt, coaches hurt, but nobody hurts like they do. They put so much into it. They played a good team and they know that, but they didn't play at spots particularly at their best. Certainly, they want to get out there and play their best and win a big football game."UT will get a boost when sophomore running back LaMarcus Coker, a former Antioch High standout, returns for game action Saturday following an indefinite suspension for undisclosed reasons. Coker, UT's leading rusher from last season, will be available to contribute to the running game but is not expected to help with kick-return duties this weekend.
