tennessee coaching - offense

not sure about what the rest of the vol-nation thinks, but i am livid about the games i have watched this season, to be more precise, the lack of offense we display. we cannot seriously think that we are a contender for the national championship with the game plans we tried to run in our first 3 games. i am not an advocate for P Fulmer, in fact other than recruiting he is good for nothing. a new decisive and actually talented offensive coordinator MUST be brought to UT after this season, taking over from randy sanders and burning the play book that he has managed to compile the past few seasons. we are LOADED at most all offensive positions, especially at the WR slots, in fact in the news R Meachum has asked for the ball to be thrown in his direction more often. here is a guy that's wants the ball, but does not get it. partially because the routes that they are asked to run do not fit their style of play, nor does it take into consideration the WR physique and speed abilities. our guys should run circles around most SEC corners and safeties. we rarely go deep, nor do we play the 15-20 yard gain routes. we try to confuse the hell out of our opponents and in fact the only people we confuse is our players. keep it simple, run the ball, and keep the secondary honest with the god given wide receivers we have. i think that eric ainge is our man, but he needs someone to re-assure him that he is the badest dude in town, and that he is the guy to lead the vols to the promised land again. we need to play run the score up football, thinking big, not SEC championship. the SEC championship we will pick up along the way to the NC. my question is when are we going to cut loose and start playing exiting football. i am sorry but current play warrants turning off the TV set, because it is about to make me PUKE!!!!!

The offensive coordinator has lived off one game for 7 years. And that was with someone else's offense. It is sickening to see so much talent do so little year after year. The offense looks almost every game like they didn't even know that there was a game that day. That's a lack of preparation and discipline and that comes back to coaching. You can blame the players all you want but players come and go and the problems are the same. The defense plays with passion and discipline most of the time. That tells you that it's not all about the head coach. It's the offensive coach. I'm not sure if I'll renew my 4 season tickets (and the accompanying donation) next year unless something changes. We should be playing for a championship but we may not even play in a bowl game. Unbelievable!!

At Least You Guys Are NOT Running The Spread Option.

Hey good people, it could be worse; as a Gator fan I've had to watch Chris Leak get murdered all season because he is running an offense that JUST AIN"T WORKING..

RS

PF will NOT surround himself with coaches he feels threatened by. Look at how Majors was ousted and PF lead the coup. He has allowed his paranoia to leap over his better judgement and give the boot to RS. If you are a major college program and you have had the same OC for SEVEN years and no one has knocked on his door even once, that should tell you that RS is not talented. Get rid of him now. I absolutely refuse to watch the games until there are signs of a change on the offensive side of the ball.
UT-Martin is always looking for mildly talented coaches. Send him there.
