 Pat Summitt hospitalized KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee coach Pat Summitt fainted at home Thursday and was being treated for dehydration at a hospital. “She had kind of a like a dizzy spell and passed out,” Lady Vols spokeswoman Debby Jennings told The Associated Press. The 55-year-old Summitt, who won her seventh NCAA championship this past season, was being treated at St. Mary’s Hospital, hospital spokesman Craig Griffith confirmed. Her family requested no information on her condition be released, but WBIR-TV reported that she was conscious and responsive. Daily Herald | Sports      |

| Coach Summitt Released From Hospital KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- University of Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt was released from the hospital earlier this morning. She is at home and will be resuming normal activities... On Thurs., June 21, Summitt was admitted to the hospital because of dehydration. She was treated and kept under observation overnight.
