| Vols future QB I don't know what everyone else thinks about coach fulmer's decision sat. vs ND but it was obviously the worst decision I have seen Fulmer make yet. I have always felt like Fulmer was better than most, but Sat. was a disappointment. However, throughout the year I have felt like Shaeffer was the better of the two QB's, even though Ainge seems to have won the job. I think it will be a blessing in disquise that Ainge was put out for the season also. Because now it anyone's position to win, and Shaeffer is unquestionably the more talented of the two. Now Shaeffer will hang around and if were lucky he will win the job. Vol fans we need to realize that the only year we won a national title recently was with an athletic QB, and that's why I favor Shaeffer, we all know he brings more to the table! |

| qbs Brent is an outstanding athelete, but it takes everything he has to throw the ball 30 yrds. He's only attempted completed 2 long balls and one was to the other team. Ainge can throw all over the field and his accuracy will only increase. With his size, he is very hard to sack. He stiff arms people like a running back. He doesn't need to be as mobile as Brent. Despite his opportunities, Brent has not had a good run or scramble since the first game and has fumbled on several attempts. Ainge is much more poised and shows much better leadership. VT had one of the most athletic qbs of all time and it didn't get them a title. Teams know exactly what Brent wants to do when he comes into the game and they key on that. They have consistently stopped him. He gave us a tremendous boost against USC, but Ainge is clearly the bigger threat. |
