Tennessee offensive lineman Vladimir Richard has been chosen as a participant for this year's NCAA National Student-Athlete Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla.
The five-day conference is an annual event that aims to provide a diverse group of the nation's top student-athletes an opportunity to actively participate in challenging and thought-provoking activities that will enable them to become better leaders on their campuses and in their communities.
The NCAA National Leadership Conference provides NCAA student-athletes with a forum to openly discuss issues that may affect student-athletes, while also providing them with the opportunity to enhance their leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills. The leadership conference also promotes better communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and communities.
Richard, a sophomore from Sunrise, Fla., appeared in three games last season in his first year on the offensive line. He spent his redshirt campaign on the defensive side of the ball.
