| Lady Vols vs. Pitt - NCAA Tourney The number one-seeded and #3/4-nationally ranked Tennessee Lady Vols (29-3 overall, 14-0 SEC) continues play in its 26th consecutive NCAA Tournament at 7:00 p.m. on Tues., Mar. 20, 2007 taking on the host school and #8-seeded Pittsburgh Panthers (24-8, 10-6 BIG EAST) in Pittsburgh, Pa., in the Petersen Events Center in Second Round action. The winner advances to the NCAA Dayton Regional and Sweet 16 taking on the winner of the Middle Tennessee vs. Marist contest on Sun., Mar. 25 (time TBA). | Parker Leads Lady Vols Past Pitt, 68-54, Into Sweet Sixteen Candace Parker scored 30 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Lady Vols into the NCAA Sweet Sixteen by way of a 68-54 victory over Pittsburgh on the Panther's home court... Tennessee kept it's streak alive qualifying for every NCAA Sweet Sixteen and improved their record to 40-0 in NCAA 1st and 2nd Round games.
