Was just wondering what Coach Summitt makes each year. She's one of the most successful coaches ever, anywhere for any sport.

Found 1 reference that her base salary is $824,500. Think that's too much, too low or just right?

Anybody got details on what bonus structure she's got on top of the base?

Compared to TO she is underpaid...compared to my last paycheck, she makes way to much to have fun coaching a bunch of kids...

She should be the highest paid womens coach in the country. I would think about 1 mill a year base.

The Lady Vols do not bring in the money that a top notch mens team will. But I wouldn't argue one bit if she was the highest paid coach period.

If the Tennessee Women's basketball program is profitable she should be paid a bunch of money. If they program loses money she shouldn't make that much. I think she should be the highest paid women's coach but if that means $100,000 or $1 mil should be dependant on the profits the program makes.

Okay, so how do you measure indirect value to the University?...for example they are able to attract better students, teachers etc cause Tennessee becomes more widely know because of its program?...There is a certain prestige that she brings the University that way...how do you tie that into dollars?

the lady vols bring in tons of money. just go to a game and see. before this year the lady vols would sell nearly twice as many tickets as the mens team. also keep in mind that the lady vols have been to every sweet 16 since they started the tourney.

I Think That With The Class Act That She Is And What She Brings To Tennessee Girls Basketball That She Is Way Underpaid,being The Only Coach That Has Been To Every Sweet 16 As A Contender ,she Definetely Is In A Class Of Her Own,go Lady Vols. Win,lose Or Draw I Will Always Be A Pat Summit/lady Vol Fan
