| First time visit to Neyland Stadium Dear Vol fans: My wife and I and two friends are coming to the La Tech game this weekend. I should preface this by saying my wife and I are Michigan State Alums, we have visited all the Big Ten Campuses, and we are now begining to try to see as many other schools that have major football programs. Tennessee is the first step in that journey. What I would like to know, is what are the "must see" and "must do" items when we visit on Saturday. Also any information you can provide about the best place for public parking would also be greatly appreciatied! Looking forward to experiencing Tennessee Football! |

| Congratulations. I am sure you will enjoy your visit. Gatlinburg, a short drive from Knoxville is one of the gateways into the smokey mountains. It is probably too late to secure travel arrangements there, but to take a drive through the area is well worth your time. Cades cove(near Gatlinburg) has a 10 mile loop you can tour by automobile and view historic cabins, churches, farms, mountain valleys, usually several deer, and sometimes even bear can be seen on the loop. Calhouns is my favorite place to dine. It is within walking distance to the stadium. Hope this helps. |
