Re: 2007 Tennessee Volunteers football schedule

If Coach Majors were still at UT he'd be 72 years old.

However, he would still be younger than the Coach that last beat our current Coach.

Post ACK: Vols have a very favorable schedule

Lindy’s magazine has selected the Vols to win the East and there are probably two reasons why. First, they return quarterback Eric Ainge, who had a nice year under David Cutcliffe in 2006. Ainge was injured in the spring and from what I have heard, struggled with the no huddle offense in the spring. If you are a rising senior and the no-huddle is still not at your disposal then I am not sold on the Vols’ QB. The second and more realistic reason to pick the Vols is the schedule . Yes, I know they come to Gainesville, which is probably a loss, but look at the rest of the schedule. There is NO game with LSU, so that’s a plus. The other SEC roadies are Alabama, Miss State and Kentucky, so that’s a very do-able schedule if you’re trying to win a championship. Even with an early loss to Florida it will take someone else winning in Knox-Vegas to eliminate the Vols. One other key to spring was upgrade the running game which was 96th in the country and not much of a threat in ’06.

1. A 2nd consecutive year with Coach Cutcliffe back running the O
2. A 2nd straight year for Coach Cut to be working with Eric Ainge
3. A Senior Eric Ainge in his 2nd year under Coach Cut
4. All of their RBs back next year (and healthy to start the season, anyway)
5. A D line that developed a lot of experience and depth last season
6. Only key loss on the O side is Robert Meachum. Granted, he's a stud, but this IS "Wide Receiver U" we are talking about.

Like I admitted right off...6-6 is a possibility. However, 12-0 is also a possibility. Realistically, I think 10-2 is where they'll land. If anyone surprises them, it'll be Southern Miss as they look ahead to Florida.
this year i believe that we will have a 9 win season

There is no doubt that our defence and lack of down field passing was exposed in a bad way Sat. night. But the team that exposed it was far improved from the team that Tenn played last year. But, all excuses aside, we got our a-- handed to us in Cal. But I still say Bama and Little Nickie have to beat more than they did Sat. to make it to the SEC cham. Braging rights are with Bama this week, congrats Bama. VOLS RULE!!!!!

Re: 2007 Tennessee Volunteers football schedule

one game puts an unwanted affect on the vols record but it just adds to how much harder there going to try to win.

Unless LSU switches sides there is NO WAY Alabama will win the west.
