University of Tennessee women's basketball player Candace Parker has been selected as the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week the conference office announced Monday. The sophomore earned the award for the fourth time this season and the fifth time in her career.

Simon, not sure if you've ever seen Parker play, but she's a bleedin' phenom. If anyone can save the WNBA and make it go mainstream, she's the one. I mean, she dunks on a semi-regular basis, and has taken home four SEC player of the week honors already this season. Hell of a player, this Candace Parker.
