Robert Meachem Consensus All-American

Tennessee wide receiver Robert Meachem is a member of the 2006 NCAA Consensus All-America Football Team, according to an NCAA Statistics Service release. A total of 29 players -- 14 offense, 15 defense -- had the majority of votes competing against players at that position only.

Good to see Meachem getting recognized. With guys like Johnson and Jarrett, I didn't think the kid was getting the attention he deserved for a fine season. But apparently I was wrong, and Meachem wound up hitting Consensus All-American status.
