?Dores, Vols on track for success in recruiting

Tennessee, coming off a 20-10 loss to Penn State in Monday’s Outback Bowl, should compete with LSU and Florida for the honor of landing the SEC’s No. 1 recruiting haul next month.

“Tennessee has one of the top classes in the country this year,” Shurburtt said. “It’s been a resurgent year on the field and off for the Vols.”

UT expects to sign three players who are ranked as five-star prospects by Rivals.com: defensive back Eric Berry of Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside; wide receiver Kenny O’Neal of City College of San Francisco; and athlete Brent Vinson of Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy.

The Vols, who currently have 24 verbal commitments, are also expected to sign wide receiver Todd Campbell of Franklin High.

Over the course of the last week Sabino has toured the campuses of Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee. He's trying to get a better feel for the schools that are recruiting him.
