What happened to the vols tonight?They show signs playing a very good game and then BAM,They fall off!I really think we have a better team than played tonight.The refs didn't help out at all,either!! The offensive play calling really sux!Our running backs can't find any holes,I don't know if that is there fault or their coaching!I think we should fire the whole staff and start over!Well not really,But it sounds good,Just Randy Sanders! I tried to finish the game but I thought I was going to have heart failure if I didn't get away from the T.V.Well we always have next season!It has to be better than this year,At least the post season!

Same old crap. Some games we just plain look like junior college. Does fat Phil not have any control over those renegades? Time for a change fans.

DONT BLAME THE REFS...UT IS OVERRATED PERIOD. THEY GOT SMOKED AGAIN....AND YOUR RIGHT ABOUT FULMER HE IS WASHED UP....BUT DONT LET HIM GO , I AM ENJOYING THE THUMPING UGA PROVIDES EACH YEAR!!!

I no longer give two bits about UT, they can't seem to win the big game, nor have the brains to change the coaching staff. Hire someone who'll win the big game. Is there a reason no one wants to hire fat Phil into the pros? Cause he can't coach. UT fans should get a clue and demand more from their head coach, but they won't they'll just sit on their rear and think their football program is the bomb. well it is...
I think I'd rather watch Clemson.

I've been looking at a number of postings in a number of sites and chat rooms this evening and one common thread repeats itself with Vol fans and not so Vol fans - our coaching staff has no clue how to motivate the team and win the big games. Except for the Florida game this season, no other games that were considered "big" were won...and tonight's was embarrassing. I'm die hard and think we were overrated all season. Our offensive play calling is suspect, inconsistent, and unimaginative and our defense in no way compares to the great teams of the past. We got outcoached and outhustled in the game tonight and not by a team that was less athletic - they just had more desire and better preparation.

We were very fortunate tonight. Every one is talking about the secondary, but it appeared to me that your O-line gave out a little too. As a CU fan this was clearly a program maker for us, and not as important to UT. You guys have the type of program we aspire to regain at Clemson, and your program and fans showed a great deal of poise and class after the game. Congratulations on a good season. Go Vols Beat Georgia.

UT looked totally unmotivated. They were out played and OUT COACHED. The offense is offensive!! Look at the talent playing in the NFL, from TENN. One championship? You can only go only so far on raw talent. Imagine what we could do with a good coach...like STEVE!

You know that and most everyone else knows that, but UT officials don't seem to get it . Year in and year out we rank in the top nationally recruiting but can't stay on the field with the powerhouses like Clemson. (no offense to Clemson) but you get the picture. Even Memphis State had a more exciting team than we did this year. Of coarse they have Joe Lee, a real defensive coach, and an offensive cordinator that you can't predict what play they will run next. Come to think of it the head coach is a UT grad, maybe we could trade coaching staffs . LOL

What hapened? You got your hats handed to you by a better team. That is what happened. Recruiting class rank is nice, but it is what happens on the field that counts. UT and the SEC are on the way down with the exception of LSU and UGA, and CU and the ACC are on the way up. Get used to it, next year will be worse.

Next year might be worse. I haven't seen the vols look so bad in years. Some things are weighing heavy on my mind:

-New Offensive Line Coach: The O-line hasn't looked so bad in a long time. SACKS SACKS SACKS with no blocking for the run game.
-No run game!! WTF? Stephens, Henry, Lewis, Stewart, Garner. We always have a run game.
-Missed tackles. The most missed tackles ever! Get back to basics.
-No team leadership. Claussen was great at UT but played with no emotion. We need an emotional team leader.
-Defensive line: Where were you all year? I understnad loosing two d-line in the draft but come on.
-Early departures. Why can't UT keep players for all 4 years?

What does everyone else think about these topics I listed?

also, UT was overrated coming into this game. I haven't seen UT so bad in a long time. Except for last year but 6 of the 10 wins we had, we had to come back to win. We barely beat Duke, South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky? WTF!!!

Where is the motivation??

I'm also a Tiger fan, but I disagree totally. No real beef with the fans, but I thought the players were a bunch of unruly, spastic thugs. How many 15 yrd penalties ? Clausen cussing out the ref in front of dozens of people along the back of the end zone ? That's what's called a spoiled brat. I keep hearing vol fans whine about the refs not helping......get a frickin clue. They're lucky they didnt get more 15 yarders.
