I am not here to talk trash about the game. I was just wanting to get an idea of what yall think will happen. Personally I think we are a better team than we were at the beginning of the year and this is the type of win that would help our program tremendously.

Clemson may have improved...

But so has TN. I actually figure TN by 14. Nothing spectacular, just a solid win.

I think exactly the opposite. UT has been very lucky this year. They have only beaten a handful of quality opponents, and many of their wins could have easily been losses. UT has won 6 in a row, but only one of those teams has a winning record. As far as comparison, UT beat Duke 23 - 6 and the game was closer than the score indicates. Clemson beat the same team two weeks later by almost 40. Clemson is improving greatly, while UT is hiding behind a weak schedule. Final: CU 38 - TU 24. Go Tigers!!!!

Schedule strength:
Taken from Massey
http://www.masseyratings.com/rate/cf-m.htm

UT schedule ranking 21
CU schedule ranking 34

So UT has both played better competition and beaten more teams... Not that Clemson should be sniffed at... rather UT is a strong team while Clemson is a good team that should not be taken lightly.

Since UT got stomped in the Peach Bowl last year, I expect them to come into the game prepared. Similarly Clemson also seems to be up for the game, so I expect both teams to play to form with advantage to UT based on performance to date.

How is that schedule ranking holding up?

Look with two exceptions, the SEC is over-rated and because of that all of the teams in the SEC have an inflated schedule strength rank.

Two of the traditionally top teams in the SEC got absolutely clobbered when they finally played out of conference. The ACC is finally going to get the recognition it deserves, and many of those ranking points are going to come from the pool that was always defaulted to the SEC. You have basically become a two horse conference with the second tier far behind. And yes, UT is in the second tier.

Don't get the big head over one game. When you put together the numbers UT has year after year then we might give you that respect you seem to need. Dude, it's only a game for crying out loud. Get a life.

"get a life" haha funny

I am not only an avid tiger fan I am also a current student. Clemson walked into that stadium with a point to make and there was nothing that UT could do. If there was anything they could do they would have. You point to the numbers that UT has in the past, big deal. That is like saying the Crimson Tide should be awesome becasue they used to be. UT cant compare to Clemson now. Not in atheletics, not in academics and not in fan loyalty. We shut the vols fans up in the dome. I didnt even here that "great" band play Rocky Top the entire second half. Tennessee better worry about next year. You are lossing the only thing you guys had, your QB.

sorry for you
good for me
