Can Vols Run the Table?

Vols Beat Gators

hehe, just love saying that: Vols Beat Gotors

I was wondering if the team would be up for this game considering we were coming off a loss. Away game against #12 ranked Florida could have been a blow up but Coach Bruce Pearl managed to have our team play one of the more phsyical games of late.

How about when CJ Watson knocked Joakim Noah and his tooth out of the game? That was one big tooth

So what's the predictions? We've got Arkansas and Kentucky at Thompson Boling and then the season ends at Vandy. I think we squeak by Ark & KY. We should beat the Dores pretty handily but I can see our guys blowing this one with overconfidence.

I say we go 2 out of the next 3. Anybody think we run the regular season table?

Can the Vols run the table?

I guess the answer is no.

Arkansas 73, (10) Tennessee 69
By ELIZABETH A. DAVIS, AP Sports Writer
February 25, 2006

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Arkansas followed up big wins over Florida and Alabama with an even bigger one.

Darian Townes scored 15 points and Jonathon Modica added 14 to help the Razorbacks rally to beat No. 10 Tennessee 73-69 on Saturday afternoon.

The Razorbacks (19-8, 8-6 Southeastern Conference) handed Tennessee (20-5, 11-3) its first loss at home this season, and further bolstered their case for an NCAA tournament bid. They also might have taken some pressure off coach Stan Heath.

My dad, who loves to hate the Vols, was in a particularly good mood yesterday.

Vols lost, Vandy won.

What a lousy day for me...

The Vols did suffer a tough loss, but I think they are going to be particularly dangerous come tournament time. They are not a perennial powerhouse team, but they may be able to do some damage and make it deep into the tourney should they get a good draw. Below is a link to the story from yesterday's game!
