Predictions on 2003 UT Season Record

At the halfway point in the 2003 schedule, Tennessee sits at 4-2. Probably not more than a game off of what I was expecting. The thing I didn't expect was the 2 thrashings that we've taken against Auburn and Georgia.

So what's left for the year? I think we finish the season 8-4, 9-3 if we start playing a notch higher.

Alabama's up next and, just like Northern Illinois did, we should be able to take care of business. But not if we don't play better.

Duke should be a win but I'm not liking our chances against Miami. We round out against Eli with Coach Cutt, Vandy and Kentucky. Should make it past all them... if we bring our A game.

My concern is that we've not learned our lesson and we'll drop a game that we should win. 8-4 if that's the case.

What do you think?

Projected Finish

I believe that Tennessee will lose three of their remaining games (Alabama, Miami, and Kentucky) and will top their season off with another loss in the "Toilet Bowl". This team needs to get rid of their entire offensive staff and start over. They have become too conservate and predictable in their play calling (does anybody remember our teams of the early 90's when we actually threw deep passes and ran a wide open offense - Oh! the good ole days). The coaching must be awful as evidenced by our O-line getting pushed around by everybody, the total absence of a running game, the total absence of a deep passing threat, the failure to develop any wide receiver threat in the couple of years (with the exception, of course, of the "Future" aka Kelly Washington). I've got stop here, otherwise I'm going start burning all my Vol shirts and hats (just kidding). Go Vols!!!
